How do I start a focus session?
Open the app, choose your preferred ambient sound (or none), set your desired duration, and tap "Just Start." The timer will begin and your focus garden will start growing.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free includes the core timer, 3 ambient sounds (Rain, Waves, White Noise), your focus garden, and basic insights. Pro unlocks all 10+ sounds, AI body doubling, advanced insights, and unlimited custom timers.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Open the app, go to the paywall screen, and tap "Restore Purchases." Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
What is body doubling?
Body doubling is an ADHD strategy where having another person present (even virtually) helps you stay focused. Just Start provides an AI companion that checks in during your sessions to keep you on track.
Will my data sync between devices?
Currently, all data is stored locally on your device. Cloud sync is planned for a future update. Your subscription status will sync automatically via your Apple ID.
How do ambient sounds work?
Just Start includes 10+ real ambient field recordings (not generated tones). Sounds loop seamlessly during your focus sessions. You can adjust the volume independently from your device volume.
Is my data private?
Yes. All your timer history, garden progress, and achievements stay on your device. We don't collect or transmit personal data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Manage Your Subscription
To cancel, change, or manage your Just Start Pro subscription:
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Tap your Apple ID at the top
- Tap Subscriptions
- Find Just Start and manage from there
Changes take effect at the end of your current billing period.
