Public Roadmap

Where we're going next

A complete ADHD focus experience, not a bloated feature list. Every addition must reduce friction, build momentum, or deepen accountability.

Phase 1 — v1.0 – v1.3 Shipped

Foundation

Build the core ADHD focus experience with AI, gamification.

AI Body Doubling v1.0

  • Periodic check-ins that adapt to your energy level
  • Like having a supportive friend quietly working next to you
Why this matters Virtual body doubling reduced task avoidance by 30% in a 12-week study of 117 adults (University of Sussex, 2023).

Ambient Soundscapes v1.0

  • 10 real-world recordings: rain, ocean, campfire, coffee shop, lo-fi, forest, thunderstorm, library, train, white noise
  • Real audio, not generated noise. Free and Pro tiers
Why this matters ADHD brains benefit from consistent auditory stimulation. Authentic ambience feels like a real place — a place your brain agrees is for working.

Routines v1.0

  • Morning, evening, and custom routines with step-by-step checklists
  • Daily tracking so transitions don’t eat your day
Why this matters The hardest part of an ADHD day isn’t the work — it’s the transitions between things. A rehearsed routine removes the decisions.

AI Task Breakdown v1.1

  • Type what you’re avoiding. Get one tiny first step instantly
  • Expand into 5–8 micro-steps with time estimates
Why this matters Task paralysis is the #1 reported ADHD challenge. Goblin Tools proved massive demand — we added execution.

Focus Garden & XP v1.2

  • Grow plants as you focus. 5 biomes, seasonal collections, 50 levels, 30+ achievements
  • Nothing dies if you miss a day
Why this matters Gamification boosts engagement 35% in ADHD apps. Shame-free design (no dead trees) prevents the guilt spiral Forest triggers.

Pre-Session Check-ins v1.2

  • Rate your energy and mood before each session
  • The app adapts its behavior to how you’re feeling right now
Why this matters ADHD energy fluctuates dramatically. A tool that ignores your current state will feel irrelevant on bad days.

Live Activities & Quick Start v1.2

  • See your timer live on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island
  • Launch a session instantly with Siri Shortcuts
Why this matters Every tap between “I should focus” and “timer running” is a chance for the ADHD brain to get sidetracked.

Time Estimation Tracking v1.3

  • Before a session: “How long do you think this will take?”
  • After: see the gap between estimate and reality, so you can recalibrate over time
Why this matters Time blindness is a core ADHD symptom. The only way to improve is to measure the gap honestly, without judgment.

Shame-Free Welcome Back v1.3

  • Return after a break and the app greets you — not your missed streak
  • Your longest streak stays visible. A 5-minute restart session is one tap away
Why this matters Every competing app punishes you for falling off. Being the one that doesn’t is the entire difference between a tool you quit and one you come back to.
Phase 2 — v1.4 Shipped

Start Faster

Make starting so easy it feels automatic. Zero decisions, zero friction, zero guilt.

One-Tap “Just Start” Button v1.4

  • A single button on your home screen. Tap it. A 5-minute timer starts with a body double encouragement
  • No task input. No decisions. Just start
Why this matters 67% of ADHD adults report task initiation as their biggest daily challenge. We’re named “Just Start” — our home screen should embody it.

Visual Time Timer v1.4

  • A colored wedge that shrinks as time passes, making time physically visible
  • Inspired by the Time Timer used by occupational therapists for 30+ years
Why this matters ADHD brains process visual time representations 3x better than digital numbers. No focus app has digitized the most recommended ADHD tool.

Energy-Adaptive Sessions v1.4

  • Low energy? We suggest 5 minutes. High energy? Go for 45
  • Your session length matches your capacity, not a rigid schedule
Why this matters Rigid 25-minute Pomodoros on low-energy days trigger shame and abandonment. Adaptive structure matches real ADHD life.

Grace Days v1.4

  • Renamed streak freezes. Because life happens, and missing a day shouldn’t erase your progress
  • Partial sessions celebrated, not punished
Why this matters ADHD users experience 3x higher rejection sensitivity. Punishment-based apps (Forest’s dead trees) drive churn, not habits.

30-Second Onboarding v1.4

  • Tell us what you’re avoiding. AI gives you one step. Timer starts
  • You’re focusing in under 30 seconds. No slides. No setup. No friction
Why this matters Tiimo’s #1 complaint is setup complexity. Every minute of configuration is a minute an ADHD brain can abandon the app.

Share Your Wins v1.4

  • A native Instagram Stories share flow with your focus time, streak, and garden
  • One tap, from anywhere in the app
Why this matters The ADHD community on TikTok and Instagram actively shares tools that work. Built-in sharing = free, authentic distribution.
Phase 2.5 — v1.4.1 Shipped

Stay In It

Two pulled forward from v1.5 to help new users stick the 14-day trial.

Time Blindness Coach v1.4.1

  • Your time estimates vs. reality, surfaced on the Stats screen
  • Are you an underestimator? Overestimator? Accurate? Now you know — and improve session by session
Why this matters Teaching time perception is a clinically meaningful outcome. Pulling this forward turns the estimation feature you already use into a coach, not just a tracker.

Async Body Double v1.4.1

  • A gentle daily check-in scheduled at your peak focus hour, learned from your own session history
  • “Hey, just checking in. No pressure. One tiny step today?”
Why this matters ADHD requires external prompts to initiate tasks. A nudge timed to your real focus pattern bridges intention and action without nagging.
Phase 2.6 — v1.4.2 Shipped

On Your Screen

Make Just Start visible the moment you unlock your phone — in your language.

Home Screen Widget v1.4.2

  • Streak, level, and total focus minutes right on your home screen
  • Lock screen widgets too — circular, rectangular, and inline (iOS 16+)
  • Tap to start a session without opening the app
Why this matters Passive accountability matters. A streak you can’t see is a streak you forget. A streak on your home screen is one you protect.

App Store in Your Language v1.4.2

  • Screenshots, headlines, and descriptions localized for all 39 App Store languages
  • From Spanish to Japanese, Arabic to Hindi — users see Just Start in their own words
Why this matters Apple’s App Store search reads text on screenshots. Localized screenshots = native-language ranking signals + dramatically higher conversion in non-English markets.
Phase 2.7 — v1.4.3 – v1.4.4 Shipped

Into Apple Health

Make your focus count where the rest of your wellbeing lives — and make Pro a fair, no-subscription-trap choice.

Apple Health Mindful Minutes v1.4.4

  • Every focus session of 10 minutes or more is saved to Apple Health as Mindful Minutes
  • Your focus shows up beside your sleep and workouts — write-only, nothing of yours is ever read
Why this matters No other ADHD-focus app writes to Apple Health. Your focus becomes part of the health picture you already check.

Lifetime — No Subscription, Ever v1.4.4

  • A one-time Lifetime Pro option for people who are done with subscriptions
  • Still free forever at the core, with a 1-month free trial on annual Pro
Why this matters ADHD adults over-index on subscription fatigue. Pay once, own it, and never think about it again.
Phase 3 — v1.5 – v1.6 In Development

On-Device Intelligence

The AI that breaks down your task should be instant, private, and free — running entirely on your iPhone.

On-Device Apple Intelligence v1.6

  • Task breakdown powered by Apple’s on-device Foundation Models — no network, no waiting, nothing leaves your phone
  • Free, private, instant. The value other ADHD apps charge for, on Apple’s own AI
Why this matters Privacy-sensitive ADHD users shouldn’t have to send what they’re avoiding to a server. On-device AI is faster, free, and respects that.

Interactive Siri & Spotlight v1.6

  • “Hey Siri, focus” — pick 10/25/45 right in the result and watch a live timer, all without opening the app
Why this matters The fewer taps between intention and a running timer, the more sessions actually start.

Control Center & Action Button v1.5

  • Add a Just Start toggle to Control Center, the Lock Screen, or the Action Button
  • One press starts or ends a session — the app never has to open
Why this matters Opening the app is a chance to get distracted. A physical button skips it entirely.

Visual Intelligence v1.6

  • Point Camera Control at a document and start a focus session for it — the task name read straight off the page
Why this matters “I see the thing I should do” → one tap to start. Perfect for the ADHD brain that needs the cue right in front of it.

Gentle Comebacks v1.5

  • Win-back offers for lapsed Pro members and warm, shame-free Day-3 / Day-7 trial check-ins
Why this matters Falling off shouldn’t mean starting over. A kind nudge and a fair offer bring people back without guilt.
Phase 4 — v1.7 Planned

Protect the Focus

Put up the guardrails you asked for — and move a whole session onto your wrist.

Distraction Shield v1.7

  • Choose your own distracting apps once. During a focus session they’re gently shielded — with a “take 60 seconds” escape if you truly need it
  • Entirely self-imposed and on-device; we never see which apps you picked
Why this matters A one-tap open of Instagram derails a session you genuinely wanted to finish. Friction at that exact moment is the only thing that holds.

Apple Watch & Smart Stack v1.7

  • Start, extend, and end sessions from your wrist. The live session surfaces in the Smart Stack; Double Tap to check in
  • Complications for streak and today’s minutes, plus haptic session-complete taps
Why this matters For the ADHD brain, the phone is the distraction. A wrist-only session means you can focus without picking up the thing that pulls you away.
Phase 5 — Later Planned

Not Alone

Focus is easier when you can feel other people doing it too — and when mornings don’t start from zero.

Async Focus Rooms Later

  • See that hundreds of ADHD brains are focusing right now, and drop into a quiet room to join them
  • Presence without performance — no cameras, no chat, no schedule
Why this matters Body doubling works because of presence, not interaction. A quiet room of focused strangers is powerful and zero-friction.

Sleep-Aware Mornings Later

  • Set tomorrow’s first task tonight; the app opens straight to it — no decisions when your focus is at its lowest
  • Short night? A gentle 15-minute start is suggested instead of deep work
Why this matters 60–80% of ADHD adults have chronic sleep issues, and mornings are the highest-stakes failure window. Removing the first decision is the whole battle.
Intentional Omissions

What we're NOT building

Focus means saying no. These are features competitors have that we intentionally skip.

Not a planner

Use Tiimo or Structured for that. We help you DO, not plan.

Not a to-do list

Use Things or Todoist. We help you START the thing, not list it.

Not a meditation app

Use Headspace or Calm. We help you focus on work, not relax.

Not a rigid schedule

Tiimo’s auto-advancing timers trigger defeat. We adapt to you.

Not a guilt machine

Forest kills your tree. We celebrate that you started at all.

How We Decide

Prioritization Principles

Does it reduce friction to start? If yes, prioritize.

Does it address a core ADHD symptom? Time blindness, task initiation, emotional dysregulation, reward insensitivity. If yes, prioritize.

Can we do it natively on iOS? On-device Apple Intelligence, HealthKit, RevenueCat, local storage. If yes, it's faster, more private, and cheaper than it looks.

Does it create a reason to come back tomorrow? If yes, it drives retention.

Would adding this make a user open another app less? If yes, it reduces cognitive load.
